Big responsibility! Excitement weighs upon your shoulders, now, All these kids are older. Can you take a younger soul? Someone who'll take your eyes from sleep but make your dreams? Brother, you'll be happy knowing all of the things that this drowning will bring. Across the water, you'll be older, all that was left was moving away. No more ties to this life or all its tone-deaf crooning for pain. Keep grounded town with a hounded down wish. A kiss for a kid whose delights did him in. All this in promises, numbers, and colors, Let us put it down in sounds bound around mounds of flesh. Around a casket you're spinning like a second hand, Please wait until you know, now, man, take another look at all we've got! Big responsibilities! A flower tethers you to knowing that it's all this kid is learning. How you'll take the space of life and turn it into rooms divided, these doors with locks. Wait for clicks of keys in pins and hope that outside walls will take you home. Oh, as a brother or a father, you're a good man all the same. As a lover or a daughter, it don't matter what the name.

Take back what I know is me even if by force and it hurts, if I have to. So caught in a catchy beat, a skipping groove, could not tell that I was moving nowhere, stuck in time. Push back on the things that hold me down so I can breathe and love and focus on what is mine. Clean in space, not clean in mind. See the forestry erase hundreds of thoughts, hundreds of tiny problems. Direction unclear, but who really cares? It's not the place you're going, but how much mischief you can cause along the way. 'Cause you're selfish beings and me, I'd like to share. Here is the line I drew and do you notice how you're standing past it, there? Neglect, disconnect, reconnect... No longer will I handle my affairs this way, with what frustration that has wrought! This creativity streak has always been my blood, as is the inspiration sparking love! Keep true to who I am, despite my many faults and all the bonds that need to stay (or stop). Sickly sweet the sentiment, it's something I despised, but now realize that there is reason. Distance myself from distancing, I'll stay close and tight with ways known now to function. And I'll work to better still the known routines and be known myself for that instead of treason!

Pull Back 03:41
Leave no time to breathe, though under-appreciated. Expressing a thought is hard when all you do is talk. No hard words exchanged means never a friend is made. These routines are fucked. A good life is motion, a constant of change. Pull back! Be weird if you want to, the limit on toleration far from your silhouette. Your cantilever broke and fell to the sea, tumbling, rapturous your riot lip. Take a beating to the brow, let your teeth fall out. You're not defined by how you sound but then what words come out Left no room for needs, get back to the planting of a seed. It's odd how this comes and goes when I know what I want. Feels good where I'm going but could'nt come fast enough. Ink "self" over "else," but do it with caring. Pass it all along, make them all trees! They tell me to take my thoughts and stand in one place and tie a rope around my neck and jump (they're gone!), but I won't do it, spitting, face is like I'm choking, all the while thinking what I'll do when I am DOWN! A licorice dream, deliberate on how the ceiling will seem When I'm doing this for earnings, not just when bides the time. Dishonesty speaks and it seems life will spread it wide. It's all just a mess, shit to get together, but yet we're alright. Pull back!

All the time in the world couldn't help me now. In a rut, in a fit, in a shut in shape. Smooth the landscape, you've already sown your part. Another face growing upwards despite the start... talk about a switch. You can mean that much to me. Does anybody else care, too? Progressively worse, now. Gather all your men in rooms. Feed them, make them shrink into the walls. Women hate the wretched truth. How can you blame them, all the pain we cause? Inconsistent now, but soon dependable. Not just for you, but for the better of us all. Wide-eyed, cold, on your way home. With horns and gold, don't you look dizzy now? Aspect stolen, the rest to leave below.

Architecture 03:36
All rail spikes are steel, even where you're sleeping now. Cross them all as you drift yard to yard to yard to airport. With humbled hands (which I miss), you learn the customs, but the language leaves your grasp and like a newborn you relearn your first steps. Adventuresome month! A beautiful month! Incarnating month! All sent home. Tell me all your stories, will you dear? Inspire me, aspire to the scenes that you have seen. Start a book for our frontiers: Cobbled pictures thoughts for what we're like in fifteen years. Build it with fervor! A foreign, a learner. In culture, in color, for when you're a worker, Recall to your prompts. Exhaust all your souvenirs. Let your lightest memories from travels be your paradigm.

Churn 03:26
All the ways I never knew I felt, so vaguely hidden, now it's out. Expelled and slipping down, covering hands and knees, stomach bursting, aren't you pleased? On a mantle I have placed you, though your hands are tied to ground. Make no effort, captured wrinkles, show them off but don't expound. Churn. Fill the holes in with pictures and words. Couldn't help that I felt offbeat, it's absurd how the self control controls itself at night. Bluster by, duck down, stay light. Burn the whole thing! I conceived you more a lover than the jealous soul. What do I know? I have failed to make it whole, the window lost of lust and dull.

Odd Images 03:39
You're old enough to be someone else's lover. I'm young enough to be your father's youngest son. Odd images... When I see you every day, the one I love just a handful, I'm mindful of future plans. I'll stay on the path I call the strong.

Unfortunate character enters the room A beat, a breath, a pause. What will she do? This cause, an enemy, a common bond A call to arms is made and exclusions formed. Subtle psychological sins compact, Magnified in tenfold to counteract. Would you push this man to a limit just to find out what he's worth? In archaic motions you find tumultuously timid, you pushed a man to his limit. Motionless but windows blurred with sky and beachfront passing by. Shaking hands and deep regrets will capsulize, de-clarify Reasoning, apostrophes, we killed a man to watch him die! We pushed a man to his limits just to find out what he's worth. And in the contours of the curve of his decay, we found his limits told it all. Our song farewell, this hymn...

KVM 04:43
There’s no room for a word like solitary in your vocabulary, so why so much in life? Social beings, I try to relate, but find myself over extending my line with the other kind. I will still love. I will always love. Whatever else will come in time. Complicit, I will say her name and draw it to a pause. (A gentle pause.) Sling the other thoughts over my shoulder and open up my choice. She taught me how to talk. There, all your problems gone with just one person in your life who was not there before. So, who else to let in? Social beings, I try to relate, but find myself over extending my line with all of the other kinds. Sorry for the pain and the heartbreak you suffered. Now there’s no more.

about

"Circumstances Revised" is Flower Coronet's debut LP, serving as an anthology of early works that went unreleased from 2010 to early 2012. All 6 tracks from the 2011 EP "Rare Circumstances" are included, completely remixed and remastered, as well as 10 previously uncompiled tracks.

This collection of songs contains a wide variety of atmospheres including dark and haunting indie influence from the likes of bands like Sunset Rubdown and Dirty Projectors, dense and unique orchestration including folk strings and woodwinds inspired by Fleet Foxes and AU, complex and off-beat meters inspired by Tera Melos and Caddywhompus, the occasional tripped out sample or chilled synths inspired by Panda Bear and Toro Y Moi, and plenty of unstoppable energy both upbeat and dissonant throughout the entire album. All of these things inspire the Flower Coronet sound as cataloged here but none quite define them as the landscape of Circumstances Revised changes rapidly. I hope you'll enjoy this anthology and stay tuned as the Flower Coronet sound continues to evolve.
